Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice coat, nice price! I have skied lift service a handful of times in the jacket and have found it to be great so far. The Freeskier is much lighter than many other insulated coats out there, which I appreciate, but still plenty warm for me. The insulation is just right for me to wear a few thin layers underneath on most days. On really cold days (around zero) I just add a really light down vest on top of those layers and I am good to go. I tested out the hood last weekend on a stormy day and it fit fine over my helmet and provide the extra protection I needed. This jacket doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it has most of the ones I need and use - insulation, pit zips, powder skirt, hood, and plenty of pockets! My only gripe is that there is no Driclime/fleecy chin guard on the Freeskier. I would recommend this coat.
