Rated 5 out of 5 by HikesDivesandDrives from Great hoody, and much lighter than listed weight I recently got one of these to use as a mid-layer and got to try it this past weekend. It worked great over a short sleeve baselayer just sitting around camp in low and mid-50's temps. The grid fleece on the inside is very comfortable, so it would work equally as well as a baselayer itself. The sizing is pretty accurate if you like a slimmer fit, but I like a looser fit. I'm 6', 200lbs and originally got a large, but exchanged it for an XL. While there wasn't a huge difference between the two, the XL was definitely more comfortable. It layers great over a lightweight baselayer and under my Marmot Quasar down jacket, but I haven't had the chance to use it in lower temps that necessitate the Quasar yet. One thing I did notice is that the weight listed by Marmot of 1 pound is way off (in a good way). The large I originally had weighed 8.3oz, and the XL weighs 8.8oz.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KestrelChick from Wonderful Layering Hoody We bought this as a mid-layering piece of clothing for hiking for my teenager. He can be picky about the texture of some of the fleece-type fabrics and we decided to give the Marmot Thermo hoody a shot. The minute we got it out of the bag, my son loved it - the texture is awesome, it is definitely a more athletic fit so it is more snug against your body and it is super comfortable. He liked that it was a full zip so it makes it very easy to regulate your heat and take on/off. This is a slim fit - he is a little over 5'10, 165 pounds and the large fits snuggly- if you like a baggy fit, I would recommend going up a size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WB12 from Hugely Versatile I bought a black Thermo Hoody eight months ago, and it is my favorite top. As far as I know, this is the only full zip Polar Tech Powder Dry top on the market. The full zip combined with the light breathable fabric is what makes this piece so flexible. In cold weather when you are working hard, you can unzip and dump heat. On mild days you can wear over a t-shirt and zip up or down as the temp changes. Great for travel because of the versatility. Great for cold weather running. Great for layering or by itself and packs very small. The fit is very tight, but the color black looks nice enough to wear casually.

Rated 5 out of 5 by N4T3 from Very Versitle This is one of the best running grade fleeces I have ever used. It breathes well so there was minimal sweat after doing a sub 7 minute pace for 5 miles at night. I t also is versatile in that I can still wear this around town or as a light mid/ base layer for mountaineering.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Thermo Hoody from Versatile I purchased the thermo hoody three months ago and use it nearly every day as a baselayer or mid-layer. The hoody is lightweight and offers great ROM while bouldering or climbing. It breathes well when your active and keeps you warm in between sessions. During ice climbing trip, the hoody was worn non-stop as baselayer and kept me dry moving moisture away from my skin with the interior waffle structure.
