Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pure joy to wear in the rain! Have this now for 1/2 year in northern Germany's rainy winter. Keeps me absolutely dry. Was downhill skiing with it wearing an old down jacket and a sweater underneath and didn't freeze at -25°C and high wind speed in the Alps as it kept the wind out. The snow skirt is a great feature, too. Even though it's a hardshell, the material is not too stiff. It seems to be very durable even though it is polyester and not polyamid. I carry a light rucksack once or twice a week and when skiing, no visible wear so far. For comparison my last jacket was a polyamid material but was showing signs of wear from the rucksack after only a few weeks. Zippers open & close perfectly. Size L fits me perfect: 180cm, 79kg, breast 101cm. I found Marmots size specs to be absolutely correct. Sleeves seem to be a little longer than standard which I like, they don't slide down when lifting your arms. Bought it in the US and when I had a little problem it was solved here excellently. Superb world wide customer service. Overall, I think best value for money you can get. Next jacket will be a Marmot, too. Looking for the Quasar now.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great jacket, Lousy stitching Overall a pretty good jacket for downhill skiing. Love the fit, keeps me dry, looks great. Only gets 3 stars in my book though -quite disappointed that almost every piece of velcro on the jacket fell off or began to fall off in under a year. A jacket at this price shouldn't have such issues. Sent it back for warranty repair, but with a 4-6 week turn around, I'm going to have to buy another jacket to get me through ski season.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just OK I doesn't seem to be very well thought-out. The part of the jacket that comes up over you face directs your breath straight into your goggles causing severe fogging and frost. This is the first jacket I've owned with this problem. I've also had one of the sealed seams come apart, and since I got this jacket as a warranty replacement for another Marmot jacket that literally fell apart in one year, I"m not really happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket, Great quality Bought the Green color and I love it. This jacket should last me forever. Works great at breaking the wind and when coupled with a fleece is keeps the winter at bay, even here in Freezing Wisconsin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality and value I've had this jacket for two years now and put it through some very demanding days of hard use. I've had to re-impregnate it a few times but it has kept me mostly dry and warm through snow, sleet, rain and wind both in the mountains and on the coast. No noticable wear and no faulty seams so far. Seems to be well made.
