Rated 3 out of 5 by from I want to love it Fits great, details are awesome, construction is bomber. It's got the right ingredients for a piece of classic gear. However, the outer fabric has ceased to shed rain after like 4 months of owning it and pretty modest use. I've washed it (per Curly's advice) and dried it to reactivate the DWR coating, but after about 60 seconds in even light rain, the moisture stops beading and the fabric just drinks it up. I end up a little chilly and clammy in no time. What gives? I feel like a Gore-Tex jacket shouldn't need re-waterproofing after the relatively minimal use this one's seen. I'ma keep it, since I shelled out for it, but I was hoping for more. Come on, Marmot. (Or Gore-Tex. Whoever the guilty party is.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a very fine packable This is a very fine packable rain jacket. The hood adjustments work well with or without a hat. It stays in place once correctly fitted to your head......none of that slide over your eyes when you turn your head just right. It has a firm and articulated brim to keep the rain off of your face too. Given the fact that the outer skin of GORE-TEX Paclite can be found in other high end brands, it comes down to fit and features. I like the full pit-zips and the manner in which the the cuffs can be secured also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have used this jacket for I have used this jacket for field work on multiple trips into remote areas of Nepal. It's light enough to pack easily, bomber enough to cover me when a monsoon rain hits, and rugged enough to stand up to rigorous field conditions! Our organization got this jacket for all of our Nepal field staff and they are psyched!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it so far I bought this jacket as an upgrade from my old rain jacket. I love it. I recently put it to the test on a trip out to Alaska where I wore it almost everyday and experienced everything from cold mist to heavy rain at times. It's really comfortable and I did not get too warm while using it. The armpit vents helped alot in keeping me cool while wearing it. I stayed warm and dry! My only complaint so far is after owning for several months and a few uses I seem to have to reactivate the waterproofing. But Thats easy. I would recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a good waterproof rain jacket.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice idea but who is the sizing for?!?? I bought this to replace an old marmot raincoat I have. Was exited about the look and feel but then tried it on....what on earth happened to their fit?? I was very surprised that the coat has sleeves so long my finger tips barley extend past the cuff. When you use the cuff to rachet it dlwn, it bunches up like crazy since it has a slim sleeve cut to begin with. I laid it down next to my marmot jacket I was replacing and sure enough the sleeves are like 5 inches longer. Same size on both. Who are you measuring to design the fit of these?? Marmot I encourage you to respond to me and let me know.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket. The hood's fit Great jacket. The hood's fit is a standout feature. I also like the fact jacket can be packed neatly in it's left side pocket. Full pit-zips make venting body heat in the rain as easy as it's going to get. all seams and stiching are first rate. Wife liked it so much that I was shamed into buying one for her.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kept me dry for 9 days in the rain I bought this jacket to replace a Marmot GoreTex jacket that is about 25 + or - years old and was a favorite. I had tried several other jackets and was never completely satisfied. My son and I trekked in the New Mexico mountains for two weeks and even though it rained A LOT I was dry and happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket! I bought this jacket 3 years ago for backpacking. My prior jackets never breathed well and retained moisture and condensation.  I have used this jacket in heavy and light rains and it has performed without exception.  It is so versatile and fashionable I often wear it casually and leave the umbrella behind.
