Rated 4 out of 5 by from I purchased this tent for car I purchased this tent for car camping in CO and UT. The first time we set it up, it was at midnight after a long drive. It set up effortlessly in about 5 minutes. Lots of room, plenty of cool stash pockets and well ventilated. This tent is awesome and I'm looking forward to many happy nights in it. For two people and two big dogs it is ideal. I also really like how it has two doors and vestibules. Does anyone have any tips for fitting everything into the stuff sack? We rolled it up twice with the fly and really had to work to get it into the bag. Despite that, I would strongly recommend this tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As Always, Great Quality Product I have not had a chance to take this out camping yet, but we set it up to see exactly how big it was, how long it took to setup, and what the inside was like. First, it was huge for a four-man tent. Plenty of space inside, more headroom than most tents this size. The setup went quickly, poles going into place no problem, quick snap connectors, and it was up in under 5 minutes. It has plenty of pockets and storage room inside, and this is probably the closest thing to an actual 4-man tent in that category. I would highly recommend anything Marmot, but especially this spacious, easy-to-setup tent, to anyone interested in casual to serious camping needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my new tent!!! I am so happy about getting this tent!! Perfect for me for car camping for me.  I haven't had a tent in years because I always remembered them being such a hassle...this one is super easy and I can set it up in under 5 minutes!  I have taken it to the desert, forest and river so far and was great for all - had to use the fly for the last trip to Big Sur where it POURED leaks, no issues just absolute bliss hearing the rain outside knowing I was safe inside :)  I will say I did get a little confused setting up the fly the first time, but now I've got it and it's super easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Notch Tent This tent meets all our expectations and more. Fits three comfortably, but best use is for two. We have two small dogs and the four of us fit well in this tent. We camped with this tent in the rain and tent held up great, no leakage or condensation. This tent has a spacious feel and is easy to heat. Easy Set-up, Durability, Full Fly and Exceptional Ventilation makes this tent top notch! WORTH EVERY PENNY - It is 8 years old and going strong. 4happycampers

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bravo, Marmot! After years of light alpine adventures, the time came for us to buy a bigger tent when our first child was born. We went for the Halo 4p and were not disappointed! I first set the tent up solo in the dark in Yosemite with our 5mo old son in my wife's arms in the car. Not quite as fast as your average 2p backpacking tent, but you're setting up a house, not a spartan shelter! Set up is intuitive and very enjoyable with Marmot's features like clips and pole sleeves. The tent itself is roomy, bright and just a joy to be in. The halo structure makes the walls vertical and gives you plenty of headroom. The ventilation options are numerous and work really well. Ample pockets inside, and very roomy and usable vestibules. The attention to detail is apparent, from the color coding to the zippers, poles guy-out options and general functionality. We haven't tried to sleep 4 people, but the space seems reasonable. For two and one child, there is _plenty_ of room to spare. This tent is a class act. Can't wait for the next trip! Get it and you won't be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost the best tent ever. Have used this tent now for about 4 months of camping, for two people. The things I love - super easy to set up for one person, the straight side walls are wonderful and definitely add to the comfort inside the tent. It is AMAZINGLY stable in high winds - we have slept through winds of up to 50 mph like babies - the tent barely moved, just a bit of flapping noise from the fly, I'm sure it could handle worse without too much effort. The fly fits well (not always the case with some tents) For two people it is a palace with lots of room for sleeping + "stuff". The ventilation works great, there was rarely any condensation on the fly. Now the things that are almost great - I wish the tent fly came down a bit lower on the sides, when it rains the bottom of the inner tent gets splashed a fair bit. If it is raining and the vents on the fly are closed and the vent supports are touching the inner tent they will drip water into the tent. But those are rather small issues - the biggest and most disappointing thing - the seam taping is POOR, the tape is already coming off in places, especially in the corners of the inner tent, and is starting to peel off in some areas of the fly too. That should not happen after only 4 months of use. Other than that - it has been a fantastic tent. Best suited for warm weather camping though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Luxuriously huge and well built. I purchased this tent for treeplanting, and it served me well. It endured many months of me living out of it. Yes, the space is overkill for 1 person and would comfortably sleep 4, probably even 5 PROS: There isn't another tent out there that compares to the head space that 4 vertical walls provide. I never had a single leak, the floor was always 100% waterproof and the fly never sagged against the mesh. The side vents were great for those insanely hot summer days. The vestibule room provides more than enough gear space. Also, the poles are very sturdy and had no problem handling the windstorms where some of my colleagues tents were failing. CONS: The door design is less than ideal. having a circular door means a lot of stress on the zipper and generally just difficult to deal with. I had to instruct any visitors on how to properly open and close the doors to minimize the stress. After all that careful work, the zippers failed to properly mesh on 2 doors and 1 fly door in year 3 of my planting career.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made me love camping Bought this tent to replace an old smelly, leaker that made me not like camping. This summer it has kept us dry in a thunderstorm on the north coast of Lake Superior, comfy in the Adirondacks, didn't budge during a wind storm on the Maine Atlantic coast and kept us dry again for a day/night long soaker back in MN. I love waking up in it as its orange and happy! The interior pockets are awesome, its so easy to put up and take down I can do it alone if I need. I'm going to miss "Gloria" this winter and can't wait to get out camping next summer!
