Trail March 2008 Scree Pant
Superb Trousers for the Price
Very good trousers at an excellent price. The fabric has four-way stretch, which allows loads of freedom of movement, ideal for climbing, mountaineering or just clambering over stiles. The waist is elasticated with belt loops and a zip fly. The lower leg has a zip extending to the ankle cuff, which is useful for fitting the trouser over a ski boot or high-cuffed mountaineering boot. The ankle cuff also gets a drawcord adjuster. The pocketing is good with a handy dedicated zipped map pocket on the leg. There are two deep zipped hip pockets that are great for the hands, while a rear zipped pocket completes the list. Superb trousers for the price, and well worth a closer look. Verdict: For the price, these are ideal for mountain walking, scrambling and mountaineering, but more cash brings even better performance.
Gripped 4/5/08 Scree Pants

Most Function-Focused Pant
The Scree Pant is the most function-focused pant in the review and a perfect choice for backcountry cragging – think Canadian Rockies. Using a stretchy softshell fabric, the Scree pants deliver weather protection and complete freedom of movement in challenging climbing environments. A small Velcro thigh pocket securely holds a topo and zippered cuffs accommodate beefy boots during the approach. Elasticized waist panels and belt loops ensure the pants stay put even when carrying a heavy pack. The Scree Pant is a good choice for climbers venturing away from crowded local cliffs.
