M3

Marmot M-series fabrics are designed for moving light and fast. They combine stretchable, water repellent, abrasion resistant and highly breathable shell materials with insulating buffer materials on the inside.

M3 shells are the most breathable in the M-series. They are best for high aerobic use in mild conditions.

Marmot does not recommend dry cleaning for any of our products. Gore-Tex® fabric products, MemBrain® fabric products, down insulated products, and fleece are all machine washable. You should use a commercial front loading machine and follow the care instructions.

Hey,
Just wondering what is meant by M3 softshell jacket material ?
How does it differ from GORE TEX water proof material ?

M3 Softshells are water resistant/repellent, not waterproof. They will shed water in mild conditions.

But when the weather turns foul, layer on a waterproof/breathable shell made with PreCip, MemBrain Strata or GORE-TEX material.

Our M3 softshells are soft, stretchy and very breathable, which keeps you dry on the inside during high-aerobic activities.
