M3
Marmot M-series fabrics are designed for moving light and fast. They combine stretchable, water repellent, abrasion resistant and highly breathable shell materials with insulating buffer materials on the inside.
M3 shells are the most breathable in the M-series. They are best for high aerobic use in mild conditions.
Out There Spring 2009 Summerset
Technical, Efficient, and Looks Good
I was surprised by how well this fit me, and how many uses I got out of it. This super breathable, water and wind repellent softshell piece was super light, perfect for spring and summer activities. I used mine mostly for cycling, as a mid-layer underneath my hard shell, for running, and general commuting. The piece stood up well as an outer layer, repelling the wind and water, yet allowing me to breathe (no sweat). The piece actually looks great on too, so it’s a good add on idea for someone looking at investing in a jacket that they will wear for 60% of the year. Two super soft hand warmer pockets made this jacket irresistible, and I wore it fairly frequently, mainly walking to work. I appreciated the hood cinches, which meant I could draw the hood in to cover my face when the wind became severe. The jacket has lots of movement, and so works really well for athletic purposes. It is also sized specifically for women, so is not only technical and efficient, it also looks good. – Sarah Stillman

I have this jacket in black and I love it. It's very flattering and comfortable, with a nice deep hood that doesn't slide off your head. It is a good length as well.

This is one amazing jacket. I am 5'2'' and the sleeves on the size S in black are a perfect length for me. The body fits amazingly -- so flattering! I can't believe it! Professional enough to wear to the office as well as for outdoor activity.

This is a bit surreal and amusing . . . my first name is Summerset. Really. Not kidding. That's what is on my birth certificate, passport, driver's license, etc. You can also check out my hiking blog, http://www.nh48.wordpress.com, in case you don't believe me (I do maintain another blog, non-hiking related, so that might show up in a google search). I've never run into another person named Summerset, and I was born in the hippie era (no, parents are not hippies!).
Anyway, looks like I might be investing a namesake jacket, as I'm very happy with my Marmot Precip rain gear!
