DriClime
DriClime® Moisture Management Technology is a family of uniquely plaited bi-component knit fabrics engineered to mechanically draw moisture away from your skin to keep you dry, warm and comfortable.
The key to DriClime is 3-Dimensional Wicking. As moisture moves from the inner fabric touching your skin to the outer fabric, it spreads out across the outer fabric to speed the drying process. DriClime never stops working; it continually passes moisture through to the outer surface for fast evaporation. It is not a finish that washes or wears out; it works forever.
DriClime technology is available in a wide range of products: shelled microclimate layers, base layer, gloves, sleeping bags and backpacks.

Hi Shalithia, do you remember what store you ordered your Wm's DriClime Windshirt from? We don't sell directly from our site. I would need the name of the store to help you further. Thanks!

Did the main material of the DriClime jacket change? I thought it was a nylon jacket.
Please let me know which shell/wind jackets are nylon.

Hi Beth, the DriClime jacket shell fabric changed to polyester around 2005. The reason was our new Defender DWR. A nano technology that can only be applied to polyester. The Defender DWR adds long-term water repellency, oil and stain repellency and soil release, for easy cleaning.
All our PreCip and Strata shells are nylon. Some of our GORE-TEX shells are nylon and some are polyester.

I bought a pretty blue one last year. when we received it, I found there was some oil mark on the back around the trademark-M. It looked like oil stain, not dirty, but I couldn't clean it with different detergent or washing powder until today.
Could you tell me how to clean it?

Hi,
This jacket achives perfectely what's looking for. I wore it on Atacama Desert during a 400km bike trip and it was the only thing I used during the windy hours, because I was biking, the body was warm, but still needed a soft and dry layer, just like this one. Another nice thing was the lengh on the back, that's perfect for the position you have on your bike.
Completly recomended for this type of activities, and I guess more like this!

I have had my Windshirt since 2002. It is my FAVORITE piece of gear. The zipper just broke and I'm debating a new one or replacing the zipper. Sounds like there have been some changes made since then, especially in the fit. Any advice?

I am thinking of getting this for my wife for xmas but am a little confused. It is called a wind shirt but the pictures show a zipper running the length of the coat. Does the zipper run top to bottom or does it stop midchest? Thanks

Jim, thank you for your question. The zipper does run the full length of the DriClime Windshirt.

This is one of my favorite jackets. It is super versatile. I wear it as a windshell/outer layer while rock climbing or road biking in the summer, and I use it as an insulating layer for skiing and ice climbing in the winter.

Hi, I own a Marmot DriClime Windshirt and I love it. I hiked the length of the Pacific Crest Trail with it, and will be doing a 4,000m bike tour with it as well. A question/piece of feedback: why does the Mens version have mesh pits but the womens doesn't? I would love to have the extra ventilation!

Are there any exterior or interior pockets on this? wish it had more zip pockets.

I have had my Marmot Driclime since 2003 and still has the title 'best jacket ever made' in my mind. It is perfect for active use, either as a stand alone jacket during shoulder season, or alpine summer use, and makes a fabulous layering piece for winter activities. I have used this jacket hard over these past 8 years and I still use it as a fieldwork jacket and wear it almost every day. I also own much higher priced jackets such as an Arc'teryx MX jacket and while that jacket is great for specific use activities I find I wear the Driclime dramatically more. Not bad for a jacket that costs a couple hundred $$ less!!

I absolutely love this jacket, which is versatile for any activity - camping, hiking, biking, you-name-it! It's perfect for keeping you warm without making you too sweaty. It also folds up nicely and compresses into small compartments of your bag easily so that you can carry it with you wherever you go. Great jacket for the springtime.
