i have been impressed with the Marmot coats i have seen my friends wear. I have heard great reviews about the coat. I want to experience the greatness of the marmot coat.

I've been really happy with this jacket. It's really lightweight, quite warm and the fit seems true to size. I've been wearing it to keep the chill away on an everyday basis and have carried it along on a few hikes. It packs down small and fit well in my pack and was the perfect companion for lunch and rest stops when we stopped moving. It doesn't pack into any of the pockets but it can be rolled up into the hood fairly well. The only thing I wish it had was a volume adjustment at the back of the hood. I know this is not really what you'd have on such a lightweight compact piece, but the hood is a bit large for me and hangs into my eyes without a way to adjust it. It does fit better over a hat and my noggin is on the small side so this is no reason to not wear this jacket. Over all I'd buy it again and might have to pick up another one in another color. Nice job Marmot!

I have the older version of this coat, everything is pretty much the same except for the contrasting zipper color, and I wear it every day. It is the best coat I've ever had. I've taken it camping all over the Sierras, and all over the desert southwest - it works great as a pillow and it's the first thing I want to put on in the morning. It's like wearing a comfy blanket. And it looks great with jeans. At three years old the zipper started to catch. I sent it in to Marmot and they sent it back with a new front zipper, a new pocket zipper and they repaired a tear in the front that I had covered with duct tape. Thank you Marmot! Please make a long parka version of this. And its goose friendly insulation!

This jacket goes everywhere with me. I wear it climbing, hiking, skiing, and even cycling. It is lightweight and packable, but provides great insulation to keep me warm. I throw it on over my Driclime or softshell jacket at belays or when stopping for breaks so that I don't cool down too much. And, when the conditions get colder, it fits great under my shell jacket and keeps me super warm. I love that the simple hood and cuffs don't get bulky under other layers. It also has nice handwarmer pockets and a chest pocket for important smaller items that you don't want to loose. This is an essential item for all outdoor activities.
