Reviews and comments

i want a this jackets. My height is 168cm, weight 70kg. what size is fit?

Have had this jacket out in the harshest of weather and quite simply it has been fantastic. The cut makes for excellent range of motion, especially when needed on for example longer climbing routes. Worth the money

I already use the Aegis jacket from Marmot, and it's proving great on the mountains, in bad weather, rain and snowstorm.
Need also a stronger jacket and cannot decide between Troll Wall and Exum.
Can you help me with a hint ? Thank you !

Great shell! My favorite aspect has to be the hood/collar system. In addition to the regular hood cinch, it also tightens in the back so it moves with your head. The collar can also function as a gaiter because it's a bit taller than most. This is useful in cold, windy weather. It also works really well if you want the hood down, but need the wind protection - just cinch the hood (while it's down) for a snug fitting collar!

I've had this since February 2010. Purchased at Backwood Sports in Ketchum, ID from my friend Andy Munter. This jacket is just amazing and rugged. It was cold and really windy with gusts blowing in our face at the top of the mountain the day I bought it. I put on a North Face Capaline base layer, Pantagonia Nano Puff pullover sweater, and this coat and I was toasty. Ended up just wearing this jacket without the sweater later in the day. It's a total wind blocker, better than my North Face Mountain jackets. Today it's pouring down rain here in California and I'll be wearing it outside to stay dry. Tomorrow I'll be wearing it deep powder skiing. Crazy versatile, light weight, and the best jacket I've ever seen.
Marmot quality is amazing!

I have had this jacket for three years and it is the best jacket I have ever owned. I thought it was indestructible, but a 10 month old pointer showed me that the only thing it can't withstand are her teeth.

This is a great product and is the first Marmot product I own.

Want a jacket that lasts? I had my Marmot shell for 18 years... I´m loving it but now my eyes turned to its replacement. Marmot it is and i wouldn´t consider anything else.

Just got back from Breckenridge skiing. This shell was awesome with a nanopuff pullover and merino baselayer from 7 to 32 degrees. Handled the blistering wind at the top of peak 8 without a hitch. Also spent a day cross country skiing in awful wind. Comfortable and athletic in fit!

I've skied in this jacket for 3 years and overall it's great. breathability is excellent - as well as the underarm pit-zips, you can use the chest pockets as vents to get some air-flow. My only gripe is that the cut is a bit boxy and i'd prefer a slightly more athletic fit for skiing - I end up with quite a bit of fabric bunched up around my chest. However, this also means it will fit over a down gilet for piste skiing on really cold days or when picnicing. The snow skirt seems to have been designed for a slightly larger waist than mine, and it's not quite snug enough to form a proper seal. The hood is brilliant and can asjust to fit over a helmet or just a hat, without compromising peripheral vision.. so, 4 stars overall. would be 5 if the fit was more suited to my frame..
