spirafil™

A unique blend of 3 denier spiral hollow fibers for loft and 1 denier polyester fibers for warmth, softness and compressibility. Thermally bonded for high tear strength and long-term durability. Exceptional combination of softness, lightweight, and compactability.

DriClime

DriClime® Moisture Management Technology is a family of uniquely plaited bi-component knit fabrics engineered to mechanically draw moisture away from your skin to keep you dry, warm and comfortable.

The key to DriClime is 3-Dimensional Wicking. As moisture moves from the inner fabric touching your skin to the outer fabric, it spreads out across the outer fabric to speed the drying process. DriClime never stops working; it continually passes moisture through to the outer surface for fast evaporation. It is not a finish that washes or wears out; it works forever.

DriClime technology is available in a wide range of products: shelled microclimate layers, base layer, gloves, sleeping bags and backpacks.

Reviews and comments

How small does this pack down?

Extremely small. It's only about 3-4 times as thick as a regular bed sheet. Compresses to nothing easily.

Excellent bag. Tested in the humid climes while camping in Japan during the summer months. Does as advertised - it keeps you dry by moving your sweat. Extremely lightweight, and collapses into nothing for easy transport. Roomy, but not bulky - can move around easily inside in order to find a good position to rest - non-claustrophobic. It's weird, but at 71" tall, I got the 6'6" model and it provided great coverage (I think it is actually taller/bigger...) After a sweaty day of hiking around, this bag provided a welcomed shelter, coupled with a decent sleeping mat. The only other thing I would add is PreCip or Membrane waterproofing, otherwise this is another great product from Marmot.

...forgot to mention: it rates all (10) stars!!....
