I would like to buy a replacement rain fly for a Marmot Thor 3P tent. May I order the fly directly from Marmot?
on 5/28/10.
Good afternoon!
I'd love to get a model Thor tent for 02 people, but I live in Brazil, and here there is no representation of the mark (Marmoth). If possible, do you know if the direct sale of this product, or if you could inform me which company would provide this tent and shipped to Brazil. I'm waiting for a possible return.

Very well designed and very well made. Quick to put up. Plenty of room for two, three might be a bit cosy. Door each end keeps it cool in hot weather. Vestibule is big enough to be useful storage. Would be hard to improve on so it's probably the last tent I will ever buy. Pretty colours too.

Hi there,
Can this tent be pitched outer first?
on 1/24/11.
I purchased the THOR 3P this winter, it is pretty lightweight for a double-wall tent. The set up is really easy to do but not really quick if you want to do it right (tight enough the tent and the fly making sure that they won't touch each other even with windy harsh conditions)
I tried this tent at -11C in the snow with synt sleeping bag, you may want 2 other partners for warming up inside the tent.
The ventilation system is working great, pretty much no moisture in the tent the next morning.Good quality zippers even frozen, plenty of room for 2 persons, a lot of pockets, a hook, a nice big enough vestibule for cooking when its really windy, a back door very useful when you have to go out quickly.
I also tried it to test the waterproof qualities, even during 72H of heavy rain in british colombia, I didn't get water inside the tent. However, you should get the footprint in the same time that you get the tent. I had the bad idea to set up a tarp under the tent to prevent any abrasions on the fabric, and all the water running with the inclinasion got stock under my tent but still no water came in.
Awesome stakes and guide line possibilities, you can set up your tent on a rock with those stakes.

I would like to get the Thor 3p footprint, and another set of stakes and guide line, I am based in Vancouver CA, and don't want to order from the states?Any ideas?Thank you Marmot!
Really good tent!

Best tent ever. Just came back from snow camping in the Sierras. No condensation, bombproof shelter. Spacious vestibule. Sets up easily in minutes. Spacious interior with storage areas, well thought out. It was hard to find a footprint but finally got one on e-bay. Best tent I have ever owned, period.

I did a lot of research before I purchased this tent. And I have to say that Marmot delivered on the Thor-3p! I have had it for 6 months and have been extremely pleased. Keep in mind that I live in SoCal so the weather is not too harsh and I primarily use it for family camping. It is easy to setup and has enough room for 2 adults & one child. Havent tested it out in the rain or snow yet...but looking forward to doing so!!
Great tent!

The stakes were useless in the warming snow last weekend, no matter how much we tried to pack the snow with our skis/shoes. We were just not able to anchor the tent down except on a couple points. My Walrus does well in the snow even when some stakes get worked loose so I never thought I should get long snow stakes. That is MY FAULT... not Marmots. The rain fly seemed high around the tent allowing wind to creep in. Thought the vestibule in the back would have more space but thats OK, enough room for our packs. Awsome vestibule in the front... love the 2 sided entry/exit. Both doors are awsome. Side vents are great, love the inside/outside adjustment of the fly vents. Bottom is real nice. Just getting into the tent you can see/feel the quality. Seems like a lot of poles and strap systems going on for what you need but then I have tried to sit out storms before... its quick to set up with all that so no problem. I'm keeping it. I'm buying some good stakes today, would of thought they would be included but no. If you do buy this thing.... invest in some long snow stakes.

Great tent. Beautiful stakes but much too short. A little tight for three persons. Fairly good ventilation for summer. But I would certainly switch for a Thor 4P for a little extra room if they decide to make one.

Just received Thor 3p. Got it assembled without a problem-actually no problem at all.
However I need a better explanation of how to use & place the enclosed tent stakes. Which ones to use where & how exactly. What lengths to cut the rope into & how & where to use the accompanying hardware.
Thanks-going winter camping this weekend.

I love everything about this tent, particularly the colors. I especially like that the color of the floor is a bright reddish color instead of the dreary grey color of most of the other Marmot tents. This is what sold me on buying this Thor 3P tent from REI. I wish you sold a 6 Person version of the Thor 3P Tent. I would buy it in a heart beat and I bet others would too! I wish the Marmot logo and the glow in the dark fly tags were white or some other bright color instead of that dull grey color.
