I love this tent. Bomber construction, good use of space, and great customer service to boot.
Getting kicked out of my house is softened knowing I have this tent to sleep in.

Great tent. Does exactly what it says. Could be a bit lighter though if it were designed today.

Have used this tent every night while walking from Maine coast to the Pacific. Everything I could hope for in a 2-person...a great tent. Just wish I had bought the Thor 3 for more interior room. Way to go, Marmot!

Where can I get a foot print for a thor 2p?

You can purchase footprints at stores that carry the matching Marmot tent. Try MooseJaw.com

I bought the Thor 2P to replace my 20 y.o. 3 person dome I used for motorcycle camping. The Thor is great, sturdy and totally waterproof. The 3P would give more room but weight was a factor. The only thing that could be better is if the fly had a vestibule at both ends for more storage space. Marmot, are you listening? I would buy the 2 vestibule fly in an instant.
Great product nonetheless.

Thanks for the suggestion! The Thor has one vestibule to keep weight down. The Nusku 2p has two vestibules.

It has two vestibules one in the front large and a small one in the back.

Is this a good backpacking tent?
on 6/4/12.
The Thor 2P is a professional grade alpinist tent that can be used for backpacking.
Since it is built to withstand harsher wind and weather, and it has a little more floor space, it weighs more than our other 2P backpacking tents such as the popular Limelight 2P http://marmot.com/products/limelight_2p

Thanks for the info.

So what is preferable the limelight or thor
on 6/11/12.
The Thor is a sturdy 4-season two-walled tent built to hold a snow load and survive harsh conditions.
The Limelight is a 3-season tent. Still very tough, but not for winter camping. And the mesh would let out too much heat in very cold conditions.
Also, here is a link where you can see the two compared side by side.
