GORE-TEX® Insert

GORE-TEX® Inserts for gloves and mittens bring the benefits of GORE-TEX® technology to your fingetips.

Two GORE-TEX® Insert options:
1) 3-Layer: durably waterproof, windproof and breathable.
2) XCR: keeps hands warmer and drier longer. The highly breathable and durably waterproof design is ideal for more intense activity levels in cool and cold conditions.

Gore-Tex® XCR

GORE-TEX® Gloves with XCR® Product Technology are ideal for active sports in cool and cold conditions.

Through increased breathability, GORE-TEX® Gloves with XCR® Product Technology provide maximum comfort for a wider range of temperatures and activity levels.

Benefits:
• Excellent moisture management
• Keeps hands warm and dry
• Durably waterproof and highly breathable

Construction:
• Made with extremely breathable materials
• All components are precisely coordinated and subjected to regular quality inspection
• The GORE-TEX® membrane is fixed between the outer shell and the insulation, resulting in a glove that will keep hands comfortably warm and dry across a wide range of temperatures.

Pittards® WR100X®

Pittards® WR100X® tannage offers an enhanced resistance to rain, humidity or working conditions, and greater insulation to protect the hands in all weathers.

Properties of Pittards WR100 Leather:
• Permanent water resistance: a beautiful appearance maintained for overtime.
• Low water uptake: maximum comfort benefits and unparalleled grip garanteed time after time.
• Optimum softness
• Specially engineered leather which remains soft to the touch and keep its shape consistently.
• Excellent sweat resistance: sustained suppleness for longer lasting gloves.
• Unique breathability: specially designed to offer optimum comfort.

Pittards® Armotan®

Armortan® improves the abrasion resistance of glove leather.

Leather’s structure consists of microscopic fibrils which are randomly intertwined together to form fibre bundles. Armortan® is a new generation of chemistry which is focused on these fibril bundles within the leather structure.

The fibril bundles are encased by microscopic ceramic "armor plates" which are more resistant to abrasion, thus increasing the durability of the leather by preventing wear on contact surfaces and materials.

PrimaLoft® One

PrimaLoft® One is the ultimate microfiber insulation.

Ultra fine fibers are specially treated in a patented process and then combined into an insulating core that is incredibly soft, lightweight and water resistant. PrimaLoft One absorbs 3 times less water, is 14% warmer when dry and is 24% warmer when wet than the competitive insulation.

The human body is 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit but often ends up in places that threaten to make it far colder than that! PrimaLoft insulates your body to keep it comfortable and conserve energy even in extreme cold.

DriClime

DriClime® Moisture Management Technology is a family of uniquely plaited bi-component knit fabrics engineered to mechanically draw moisture away from your skin to keep you dry, warm and comfortable.

The key to DriClime is 3-Dimensional Wicking. As moisture moves from the inner fabric touching your skin to the outer fabric, it spreads out across the outer fabric to speed the drying process. DriClime never stops working; it continually passes moisture through to the outer surface for fast evaporation. It is not a finish that washes or wears out; it works forever.

DriClime technology is available in a wide range of products: shelled microclimate layers, base layer, gloves, sleeping bags and backpacks.

Overview does not mention...
Removable insulation or not?

I'm also unclear whether the liners are removable or not. An email response would be great.

Thanks

No, these gloves do not feature removable liners.

Hi, just bought a pair and nope the liners are not removable. VERY VERY WARM, just dealt with a foot of snow and hands were warm and dry.

Hope that helps.

This glove has NO liner. I use some liners from MH and these gloves outperform for any mountaineering purposes.

I simply don't like those combo-gloves, where a liner is somehow integrated. On the mountain you don't need any complexity in your gear. It must be simple and work anytime.

Only one day in but I love these gloves! Very warm and comfortable. Safety leash is a great idea for the lift.

Hello. want and order these gloves, has had a couple Marmont gloves for 12 years.
Regards Meredith

Best gloves I've ever owned. Had these gloves for two winter seasons now, and still preforming well. Just came back from a backpacking trip in the White Mountains, and despite heavy snow and strong winds these gloves performed. My buddy's gloves soaked through but not mine! These gloves are extremely warm and dry quick. If you leave them overnight in cold, moisture will freeze on outside (not soak through), and decrease movement, but remain warm and after a few minutes of activity return flexibility.

- Worked for outdoors retailer for over a year.

I bought a pair of these gloves for a ski trip to CO (1/4/2010). They are the "bomb". These things kept my hands warm, and I think "hot" may be the more appropriate word. The bottom line is they were effective. I have a hand gerth of 9.25 and the L size fit perfect, They slide on and off easily and you can cinch them up quickly and easily as well. They have a great wicking charateristic ( a wet hand dries very quickly without loosing warmth, a great feature) and the soft nose-wipe is priceless. They appear to be very duarable, just a great product in my opinion. I would recommend these gloves to anyone who wants an effective ski glove and I can assume they would be great for snowboarding as well. Great job Marmot on these gloves. Defintely a 5 star glove

Just borrowed these from my wife for a ski/snowboard outing and these gloves are GREAT!!!! I don't usually wear gloves, but these are going to be my first pair. Just excellent! Hands were kept very warm on a cold icy snowy day.

I do not own a pair of these (yet), but i borrowed a pair from a friend for snowboarding in Vail, Colorado. These gloves are absolutely amazing. They're very warm, soft, and comfortable. I love the wrist strap so I can take them off on the lift and not worry about them falling. the adjustable guard thing tightens well and doesn't allow snow in. I wore these the whole day and the inside wasn't even close to being damp. By far the best gloves on the market in my opinion.

Best pair of ski gloves I've ever owned. I keep five different pairs in the bag for varying conditions, end up skiing these on all but the warm spring days or the very cold times I go to a mitten. Never had them wet, and it has to drop below 5 degrees for me to change.
