I would not get these for snowboarding!! This is more of a alpine pant or extreme back country ski.

The Palisades Pant has ankle zips and is cut to fit nicely over snowboard boots, ski boots and hiking boots.

do these have insulation or r they just a shell im looking for just a shell rain pants no thin stuff i have pac-lite gore and i dont like them i think this might be tougher if any body knows please share.

These are not insulated, just a bombproof shell with room for layering. Performance Shell is tougher than Paclite.

The material is breathable. No extra zippered vents except the ankle zippers and fly :)
