600 Fill Down

Certified 600 Fill Goose Down bags are constructed with the following features:
- Nautilus Hood: the same construction as our 8000m jacket hood, a 3D hood that
wraps around your head and reduces heat loss. - Hood Muff: creates a warm down gasket around your face, keeping the drawcord
away from the face. - Stretch Tricot Baffles: allow the bag to be stuffed and unstuffed without tearing the baffle material.
- Trapezoid Foot box: matches the shape of your feet, wider in the toe area and narrower in the heels.
- Down Fill Oversized Draft Tube: eliminates cold spots
- Zipper guard: keeps the draft tube fabric from getting caught in the zipper
- Ground Level Seams: top layer wraps fully around the body creating a warm layer of down.

DriClime
DriClime® Moisture Management Technology is a family of uniquely plaited bi-component knit fabrics engineered to mechanically draw moisture away from your skin to keep you dry, warm and comfortable.
The key to DriClime is 3-Dimensional Wicking. As moisture moves from the inner fabric touching your skin to the outer fabric, it spreads out across the outer fabric to speed the drying process. DriClime never stops working; it continually passes moisture through to the outer surface for fast evaporation. It is not a finish that washes or wears out; it works forever.
DriClime technology is available in a wide range of products: shelled microclimate layers, base layer, gloves, sleeping bags and backpacks.

Hy!
I have one about this jacket(M Guides 650 down L), and one about from the (TNF 700 down M). I like this down the Marmot. Enough warm i wear it in winter in -20C degree, while i live in Middle Europe. The fill is great but not the best, other wise the price is great by as, and it compensate it. When I ever belay in this down jacket i never fill me cold.
pro:
cheap, warm, frugal, many colors
negative:
the down is not so fine, outher manufacturer use finest down
It's a great down jacket on a great price.

hi!
i have a size L, a little big but i can wear tha jacket on my shell in winter. I live in Middle Europe. This jacket is ideal to bealying when you are on a ice tryp, or you are in the backcountry in cold winter. This jacket is not waterproof. The down is not so loft but enough warm.
Its a great down jacket, in a great price.

This jacket is BOMBER! I returned a large for a medium and wore my new jacket to take my dog to a soccer field to retrieve a tennis ball for excercise. The temperature was 24F, with wind gusts up to 20 mph and a wind chill of 13F. Not only did I feel as warm as if I was standing in my family room but I did not have any wind break through! Under my jacket I wore a tee shirt and a thin pima cotton long sleeve and couldn't have been warmer! The Down Sweater had superior craftsmanship compared to other down jackets that I have tried. Marmot made a bomb proof jacket! Well done! The DriClime lined collar and soft fleece lined handwarmer pockets are a great touch too! Marmot Customer For Life! Great job!

I love this jacket! It keeps me warm whatever temperature I'm in!
I was just skiing today and the only thing that was extremely warm was my body. It also is breathable! I hate those fleece lined jackets, they just make me too hot! I can just put on a thin fleece underneath and I'm ready to go! Love the lined collar! Keeps my neck at the temperature i want it at! I was for so long searching for a good north face down jacket but then i went to the store and passed by a Marmot Down jacket! Made me feel like i was almost three feet away from my heater! But isn't hot! Love you Marmot! I want to thank you for keeping us all warm in tough winter times! Thank You! can't wait to see what other inventions you create until next time! BAM!

How does this jacket compare to the Zeus? I'd love to buy the Zeus, but am slightly afraid it won't be as warm as I'd like in weather that's 0 to 20 degrees. If it's fine in that weather, I'm fine with it -- but if this is a better choice, I'd like to hear that, too.

I have tried on the Zeus at Dick's Sporting Goods. Zeus is a fantastic jacket as well. It depends what your using the jacket for.... Zeus has a great fit, lighter, high fill (800 versus 650) however for wearing a jacket around town-the Marmot Down Sweater seemd to fit the bill perfectly. It has that Dri-Clime (soft brushed fabric) inside the collar, in front of your chin and inside the zippered pockets (which will keep your hands warm) The Zeus Jacket does not. If you are looking for a really lightweight down jacket (possibly using for backpacking, hiking, climbing) Zeus is it---excellent choice. If you don't mind the extra weight (measured in ounces), want a few more features and pay a couple dollars less-there is nothing out there that beats the Marmot Down Sweater. You will not be dissappointed.

This is a great jacket! I live in Montana and use it for winter mountaineering trips. It is bulkier and heavier than I would like but it is super warm and an excellent value! I have used this jacket in temps as low as the negative teens and with the right layering I was completely comfortable. The value of this jacket can not be overrated.

Couldn't agree more with the above comments, this is definitely the jacket to have. DriClimb neck and pockets are a lifesaver. Packs small & isn't bulky. Durably built, had mine for a year w. heavy daily winter use, travel & backpacking....no problems what soever. Highly recommended.

Marmot makes a great product. I tried on the guides down in San Francisco and it instantly warmed me up. Note that I own several marmots (gore-tex shells and down/gore-tex). I went into North Face and I was looking at a few of theirs and nothing warmed me up as quick as a Marmot.
Is this my imagination or is it that Marmot is warmer in their jacket construction keeping warmth in instantly.
I wish they had later hours for those of us who work and are either not in town frequently or work outside of San Francisco.
So is Marmot warmer than North Face head to head on products?
