600 Fill Down

Certified 600 Fill Goose Down bags are constructed with the following features:

  • Nautilus Hood: the same construction as our 8000m jacket hood, a 3D hood that
wraps around your head and reduces heat loss.
  • Hood Muff: creates a warm down gasket around your face, keeping the drawcord
    away from the face.
  • Stretch Tricot Baffles: allow the bag to be stuffed and unstuffed without tearing the baffle material.
  • Trapezoid Foot box: matches the shape of your feet, wider in the toe area and narrower in the heels.
  • Down Fill Oversized Draft Tube: eliminates cold spots
  • Zipper guard: keeps the draft tube fabric from getting caught in the zipper
  • Ground Level Seams: top layer wraps fully around the body creating a warm layer of down.

nice.

I am curious whether this jacket or the Ama Dablam Jacket are warmer? I know the Ama has better down...but the Guide jacket seems to have a more heavy duty shell...correct? Can you compare?

I'm also wondering this as well! I currently own the patagonia light weight down jacket, but would definetly not withstand anything below freezing temps with out more layers.

I would like to answer:
I think if you want a realy warm jacket to the MOUNTAINS buy this, not the Ama Dablam. I try the Ama Dablan and it's good but the Guid is match warmer. In this jacket are more down.

Great question!

I'm also very curious about this. I've heard this jacket is more durable than the Ama so you might not always need a shell.

I wish to know the fill in weight of this jacket. It does feel quite nice.

The Guides Down Hoody is filled with 209g of 650 Fill Down.

Good!

Question,

Does this jacket have an internal powder skirt?

I can't tell from the description if this, "Elastic Draw Cord Hem - For Adjustability in Serious Weather" refers to a snow skirt or to the bottom of the jacket.

Thanks.

Does this hood comes off? Also .

Sergio, the down-filled hood is attached.

Question: I am going on a guided mountaineering expedition, and part of the required equipment is a down parka rated to 10 degrees F. Does anyone have any input on temp ratings for this jacket?

I'm not aware of any temp ratings for clothing, but I think this would do for 10* especially with proper layering. You might want to ask your guide service.

i was wondering, im looking for a down filled jacket under my exum jacket and i was curious as to what would be better, the Guides down hoody or the Zeus jacket
