Bought this tent about a month ago,

I just tested the tent over the last few days and I am verry pleased with the result.

Set up,
The most important thing about the set up is that before you start using is for real set it up in the living room and connect the inner tent with the outer tent. This way you save a lot of time setting it up when you need to save time. (you should also do this with the footfrint) and just pull out the poles and roll the entire thing up connected and all.
After this the set up takes only about 4 minutes (timed it), this is without the guy lines since the time it takes depends on the circumstances.
After all is said and done This thing stands like a bunker!!

Pros,
-This tent is nice and light for the fact that it is almost 3.5 meters (incl vestibule)
-The Membrain shell is awesome, with most tents if you touch the inside of the outer shell when it is pouting rain it strats leaking, NOT with this tent i touched it, i rubbed it but it would not start leaking even a little bit.
-The ease of the set up and how fast it is, that is really one of the best things about this tent
-The fact that it stands like a bunker.
-Has a huge vestibule

Cons,
In all honesty there is none, i could only think of a small thing, in most 2 person tent it is possible to fit in a third when needed if you try that with this one it is just a little to cramp. BUT since this has nothing to do with the tent itself only with the way i use it

Bottomline:
AWESOME tent, get it!

Hi all at Marmot, I have been searching for a decent sized tent with a porch for some considerable time now and it looks like your Grid Plus fits the bill. The hydrostatic head on both fly and ground sheet is amazing, question is... why do other companies (selling tents more expensive than yours) fail to tape their siliconised flysheets when you do? And, your quoted weight is also fantastic.

As a British, Duke of Edinborough instructor that is going to place an order within the next couple of weeks, I am looking forward to several years of fault free camping using the Grid.

Well done, and keep up the good work.

got this tent from out local cotwold camping store spring 2011 for one man base camping on dartmoor .As people in the uk will no the weather can change in hours in this part of devon .The tent has proven its worth very stable in strong wind easy to pitch even in the dark. For me the best feather which was not pointed out when buying is all the ways you can vent the tent so have never woke up with a danp sleeping bag or dew on the iner walls of the tent .Have taken it to ben nevis in july where it never blowing a gail ,the tent did not move a inch .Also with the shap of the pols, lots of leg room at the bottom of the tent.Would recomend this tent,it is the first thing I have of marmot was so pleased been out and got more .

I have had my Grid plus now for about 3 months and it's been totally amazing. The speed you can pitch this tent is ultra fast, even my first time took less than 8 minutes. The flexability of the extended porch makes is fantastic. Either side can be opened to avoid the weather whilst the space provided is easily enough to store two 75ltr+ rucksacks. Although around 3.4 kilos, split between you and a trekking friend, this is no problem for the space you are both gaining. On two separate occasions, I got stuck in some of the worst weather I have ever experienced whilst camping. The tent was battered on each occasion with gale force wind and rain, performed beautifully. Although we did not sleep, we remained dry and warm. Well done all at Marmot, a perfect design for the UK market.

Just spent the night at about 24,000" early March-still-winter on snow and did fine. Every time the wind picked up, we braced for it. It was mid 20's and we did not want wind. Certainly not. And this tent didn't let a puff through. Lovely sleeping.

Very spacious vestibule. Great pockets. Also liking the vents. Pitches very easily.
