I bought this jacket after serious consideration of many other options. To my suprise the FCJ meets every qualification and specification that is offered. The shell as well as the liner are warm and seem to temperature monitor in many different climates. In the past I have waisted money purchasing lower quality jackets for one or two years use.
This FCJ is a serious purchase and worth every penny. My only complaint is the green color is lighter than shown. The green needs to be a shade or shade and a half darker. The jacket is such a technical piece the irritation of color is less. The FCJ is not bulky; it is difficult to realize if the liner is inside the jacket or not.
The jacket is a must have for a serious shopper and reviewers of quality.

This is a great jacket-warm, versatile, durable, and good looking.
I have had my jacket for most of the 2010-2011 season, and it shows no visible wear, despite my wearing it almost every single day. It did well commuting, walking in the woods, or going shopping.
The jacket is warm, but it needed some help on the coldest days here in Michigan. This is okay, however, since it wasn't too hot wearing it shopping or on warmer days. When shopping, the pit zips come in handy. On the coldest days, the jacket layered very nicely over a thinsulate liner that I have. The hood was a very welcome addition on the very cold/windy days.
The pockets are very good in location, number, and size. The inside chest has a zipper along one vertical side, which is about the only thing I would change. The zipper is full length, so if you would open it, everything could come out. I would make the pocket a bit deeper, to hold things in if the zipper were open.
I am very pleased with this purchase. The jacket is of very high quality, and will suit me for years to come.
