I'm not finding a peak height (head height) spec for this product. (Nor did I find an email address to Marmot for product inquiries - that's odd.)

59" is the peak height

Would like to know where is the Marmot Den 4P manufactured?

In Vietnam as indicated on the label inside the tent.

curly says there is a small vestibule for shoes at back but the floor plan does not show it. What are the dimensions?

One of the poles broke the first time we were setting up our Den (the pole comes under a lot of tension as as you hook it in). Marmot did a repair on the pole, but the repaired pole is still bent in one section and I wonder how well it will hold up over time. I wonder if that was a design problem with this tent? We used our Marmot Screech for about a decade without a single problem.

You don't have to worry about the bend. It is normal for the poles to get a slight bend from use at certain angles.

I just bought a Kronos 4 from Sierra Trading Post. It looks very similar to this tent. Does anyone here know if they are essentially the same and if so, how the Kronos differs? I got really scant instructions from Sierra Trading Post on this Marmot tent and Marmot does not seem to have the instructions for the Kronos handy.

I have just purchased a Den 4P. I set the tent up with no problem, but found an aluminum sleeve about 6 inches long in with the tent poles. The sleeve is a larger diameter then the poles. The instructions don't give a clue what this is used for. Any suggestions? Thanks

There's often a small larger-than-pole diameter tube shipped with tent poles for repairs. If a pole happens to buckle on you during setup it gives you a temporary fix: slide it over the broken section and tape/glue/tie it in place. It is usually not a permanent fix.

Thank you for the information. I was asking myself the same question.

it's a repair pole if the pole gets bent until you get a new pole

I just bought a Den 4P tent. I set it up with no problembut I found also a rope and 8 small pieces of plastic with 3 holes. What are they for?

It's cord to use a guy-lines when weather is really bad. If you always set up your tent in sheltered areas you will probably never have to use the extra guy-lines. There should be attachment points on the outside of the tent fly along where the poles are.

I just received my Marmot Den 4P. I couldn't find any instructions with it for assembly, but it looks pretty easy. It came with 2 pairs of poles, black and copper color, and they are slightly different lengths. Which ones go to the corners, and which across the center?
