Polartec® Power Dry®
Polartec® Power Dry® fabrics are designed to keep your skin dry when you sweat. All fabrics in this series feature a patented bi-component knit construction that uses different yarns on either side of the fabric. This creates two different surfaces: one that is optimized to move moisture away from the skin, the other to dry quickly.
Moisture and high relative humidity next to the skin cause discomfort. Polartec® Power Dry® keeps the skin dry through three complementary mechanisms:
1) The fabric is highly breathable and does not restrict the movement of moisture vapor.
2) “Touch points“ on the fabric inner surface draw off the sweat. Sweat is wicked off the skin to the outside of the fabric where it spreads rapidly for evaporation. Polartec® Power Dry® fabrics move at least 30% more moisture away from the skin than single component fabrics.
3) When the sweat reaches the outside of the fabric, it spreads out to many times its original surface area, enabling it to dry at least 2 times faster than cotton.
Technical Highlights
1) Patented bi-component construction keeps your skin dry when you sweat
2) Highly breathable to provide comfort in all activities; does not restrict the movement of moisture vapor
3) Dries quickly
4) Provides very good sun protection (UPF 15) in most styles
5) Soft surface next to skin provides all-day comfort
6) Machine washable

Most gloves should be hung to dry, the exception being down insulated gloves and mitts which have special care instructions on the label.

Can you tell me how water and wind resistant these gloves are? I am looking to use them as short commute riding gloves.

The Connect Glove (in size medium) is not available at any of the listed on line retailers.
When and where will this item be available again?
on 1/18/11.
The Connect is part of our Fall 11 collection. Look for it to be back in stock in late August. Thank you for visiting Marmot.

Hey there!,
Questions:
1. are these gloves warmer enough in any occasion?
2. how much low temperature can these gloves support? and,
3. are they with a extended warranty in case the TPU will pill out from the fleece fabric?
Thanks a lot!...
Gerart

This is a relly nice style that I can use my iphone in such climate that need to wear gloves.
Will you have any further styles with touch sytem?

The overall glove is nice. I skied a pretty cold, windy day in just them. Yet, the eTip fabric is not that well constructed. It fell apart during the day. The fabric pulled out in runners and if it came into contact with velcro it would stick to it and did even more damage. Perhaps putting the eTip material onto the top of a knuckle instead of the finger tips would be better.

These gloves work well on touch sensitive electronics, but they do not keep my hands warm. Need thicker fabric on the back side, or maybe a different type of fabrc.
