M3

Marmot M-series fabrics are designed for moving light and fast. They combine stretchable, water repellent, abrasion resistant and highly breathable shell materials with insulating buffer materials on the inside.

M3 shells are the most breathable in the M-series. They are best for high aerobic use in mild conditions.

Care Instructions
Marmot does not recommend dry cleaning for any of our products. Gore-Tex® fabric products, MemBrain® fabric products, down insulated products, and fleece are all machine washable. You should use a commercial front loading machine and follow the care instructions.

Amazing! This M3 fabric is impressive, particularly during aerobic activity between +10 to +30 degrees with only a light base layer. Wind block is also excellent. Adding a mid-layer will provide warmth to well below zero. I've used it for biking, hiking, snowshoeing and XC skiing and have found that my Approach jacket and Scree pants have replaced all my other gear for a good part of the year. How about adding pit zips on M3 to extend a jacket to even further.

What is the difference between this jacket and the Marmot Tempo? Is this one warmer? I currently have Arcteryx Gamma Mx and it's getting too hot already. I'm looking for a summer softshell.
