Engineered with the most rugged, most breathable, durably waterproof and windproof fabrics, 3-Layer GORE-TEX® Pro Shells meet the demands of outdoor professionals and serious enthusiasts.
The 3-Layer construction comprises a specific high performance GORE-TEX® membrane, bonded together to a tough outer material and a specially developed robust inner lining. The result is an extremely rugged and durable laminate that provides longer life under extreme, tough conditions.

Care Instructions
Marmot does not recommend dry cleaning for any of our products. Gore-Tex® fabric products, MemBrain® fabric products, down insulated products, and fleece are all machine washable. You should use a commercial front loading machine and follow the care instructions.

PLEASE create a women's version of these pants. I tried ordering a small and they were absolutely huge on me. I don't see any women's pants made with the stretch fabric.

I have had the Rondonnee ski pant for the last decade and am finally looking to get a new pair of ski pants. Can you compare the Alpinist to the Rondonnee for skiing.

I skied all of the spring of 2011 in the Alpinist Pant and it was basically the perfect pant for touring deep in the Colorado Rockies, Southern Sierras and Tetons! The breathability, zipper/venting, and overall functionality made for a comfortable experience in some pretty wild places.
