Winter Guide
Gloves can make or break a winter adventure. This two-in-one pair made all of our adventures last winter. Inside is a thin softshell liner, which is perfect when it’s warm, when you’re working hard, or when you require maximum dexterity. This inner glove dries fast, so if it gets sweaty it’s no big deal. When the wind picks up, when the thermometer dips or when you’re skiing down, pull on the insulated, Gore-Tex-lined overmitt. It kept us toasty down to -18˚C, never soaked through and fit better than any other two-in-one glove combo we’ve tried. – Ryan Stuart

Our favorites from 2009
If you put yourself to the test in challenging conditions, this is the glove you should be wearing. Backcountry skiing, mountaineering, Ski Patrol, or any other endeavor that requires you protect your hands from the cold- the Alpinist is the glove. A Gore-Tex insert for a waterproof exterior, coupled with a Schoeller removable liner for breathability and versatility, and insulated with PrimaLoft to complete the inside. Outside, a durable, grippy palm to hang onto whatever you need to grab.

Winter Gear: Tech-Savvy Products and Cold-Weather Classics
Built for extreme conditions (or for those prone to cold digits) these gloves employ Gore-Tex’s new X-TRAFIT construction, which permanently bonds the glove liner and the insert of the glove shell. The result? No excess movement or cold spots between the glove layers, and optimal grip and dexterity. Pair that with premium PrimaLoft insulation for oven-like warmth and you’ve got the perfect waterproof/breathable barrier against the elements without feeling like you’re wearing oven mitts. Added touches such as loops for hanging wrist leashes, gauntlet cuffs and a removable windproof soft shell make this the only glove you’ll ever need. – by Nathan Borchelt
