The short story is that my Marmot Rockstar pants have endured intense canine testing and came out the winner. I cherish my dogs, most of the time. But on the day that I rushed home to get the package with my brand new Rockstars, I wasn’t feeling the love. My mutts, who decided that the UPS man left them a really fun present on the doorstep, decimated the package and as I rounded the corner I found them playing tug o war with my brand new pants. And what I liked best about these pants is that I could rinse out the trail dust as often as I liked – they were dry in a few hours – and yet retained great wind resistance and water repellance. Rockstars were my trail favorite in 2010, and hung out well in camp too. The dogs? Useless …
