Hey, I’m Fabrizio Zangrilli, Marmot Athlete Team Member, and we’re out rock climbing today. Spring in the Rockies, just above Boulder in Boulder Canyon today. It’s a great time of year. We’ve been able to ski tour, ice climb, mixed climb, and today rock climb, all within a 7-day period. It has just snowed this week, quite a lot actually. You can see it’s still a little chilly out. It’s not too bad a temperature in Boulder, it’s probably mid-50s today; and high 40s and a light breeze but not too bad in Boulder Canyon. One thing that Jesse at Camp USA gave me a little tech tip. Talking about rock climbing. He said go out and put a little Hotties in your shoe. For the approach the shoe will be nice and warm and it’ll soften up a bit. When you do that, stick it into your chalk bag. So every time you reach in to chalk up, it’s a bit warm in there. The rock is warmed up cause it’s been sunny for most of the day. But in the cracks it’s still a bit chilly.
Today I’m wearing Marmot Tempo Jacket. It’s a lightweight, M3 softshell, cut with Angel-wing movement. It’s very dynamic, has a Lycra bond cuff; so it keeps the wind out which is great when you’re reaching above your head. Awesome zippers so if I’m mid pitch and I need to unzip a bit and let out some heat, it’s perfect. Well, I suppose we should start climbing. I’m all tied in, I’ve got my light rack, it’s a mixed bolted and gear route, and I know exactly what I need. So, thanks very much for watching. On belay? Cool.
