Hi I’m Fabrizio Zangrilli, Marmot Athlete Team Member. I’m out here today in Rocky Mountain National Park on Flat Top Mountain with my friends Tom and Elizabeth. As you can see we’re doing a lot of aerobic exercise, training for K2. Ski touring I think is one of the best forms of training. Really gets your heart pumping, using your lungs, and the other benefit is with your arms and the poles. When you’re jumaring rope on a mountain like K2 where I’m leading a commercial expedition to in two months, you spend a lot of time jumaring; it’s a lot of the same action. You’d better have strong triceps when you show up.

Well today I’m wearing a new piece from Marmot, the Mica Jacket. It’s as light as a jacket can get. Fully waterproof, fully taped seams, the Marmot MemBrain, Angel-wing movement – so I can use it for rock climbing as well. It’s for snow sports. I love it, it’s so light. And if it’s snowing like this if I’m standing around, you can put the hood up very easily as well.

The other thing I’m wearing today from Marmot are the Scree Pants. These are phenomenal pants, I’ve owned them about a year now and I’ve worn them probably 150 days. They’re very, very dynamic, so I don’t feel any restriction in my movement of legs. Certainly not when skiing, but also when climbing I can really high step very well. They have a side, a short side zipper – makes it easy for me to get my Scarpa F3 boots on. So, great for climbing and skiing. Cinch them down nice and easy. Well, a lot of good snow to ski, so thanks for watching.

Nice Marmot.
