Returns & Exchanges

Purchases made on Marmot.com or from a Marmot Store are eligible for return. We do not accept return of Marmot product purchased from other retailer stores or websites.

Purchases made on Marmot.com can be returned to a Marmot store or our Distribution Center.

Purchases made at a Marmot Store can only be returned to a Marmot Store.

In order to return your purchase, the following must be true:

  • The item has not been used or worn and is in original, saleable condition
  • You purchased your product(s) from Marmot.com or a Marmot store
  • You have the original receipt
  • The original tags are attached

If it is within 60 days of the original purchase date you can choose to receive a Refund, Marmot Gift Card or Exchange.

If it is after 60 days from the original purchase date, but within 90 days of the original purchase date, you can choose to receive a Marmot Gift Card or Exchange.

  • Refunds will be applied to the original form of payment, minus any shipping charges
  • Gift cards will be issued in the amount of the original purchase, minus any shipping charges
  • If the exchanged item is less expensive than the original item, the difference will either be credited to the original form of payment or issued in the form of a gift card
  • If the exchanged item is more expensive than the original item, the customer is responsible for the difference

Returning to a Marmot Store

Returns may be made to our Aspen, Chicago, Greenwich and San Francisco Marmot stores. Please do not ship a return to a store as it will have to be forwarded to our Distribution center and will increase the time it takes to process your return. Click here for directions and hours of operation.

Returning to our Distribution Center

Exchanges for a Product or Gift Card

  1. Call or email our Customer Service Team at (888) 357-3262, Monday - Friday, between the hours of 7:30am and 5pm (PST) or returns@marmot.com. We will check availability of the exchange item and confirm your exchange.

    • If calling, please have the packing slip that arrived with your order or your Shipment Confirmation email
    • If emailing, please include the Purchase Order number found in the upper right hand corner of the packing slip that arrived with your order, or the Order Number found on your Shipment Confirmation email
  2. We will email you a prepaid return label
  3. If there was more than one item on your original purchase, please circle the one you are exchanging and indicate the new size, color or item on the packing slip with your return
  4. Once we receive the returned item we will process and ship your exchange
  5. PayPal orders where the exchange amount is greater than the original order amount will require a refund and reorder.

Refunds

  1. If you have the packing slip, please make a copy for your records. If not, your Ship confirmation email can serve as your record. If the purchase was a gift, please give us a call and we will provide an Order Number to include in your return. (888) 357-3262, Monday - Friday, between the hours of 7:30am and 5pm (PST)
  2. Circle either Refund or Gift Card on the packing slip, or write Refund or Gift Card on your Ship confirmation email if you do not have the packing slip
  3. If there was more than one item in your order and you are not returning all items, please circle or identify the items you are returning
  4. Please select a Reason Code or write it next to the item(s) you are returning
  5. Click here to print out a prepaid FedEx label. $6.00 will be deducted from the amount of your refund. The Refund prepaid labels program does not currently apply to returns shipped from Alaska or Hawaii
  6. Make a copy of the label for your records. The tracking numbers are below the bar code and to the right of the numbers in the parentheses. Example: (134567) Tracking Numbers.
  7. Place the product(s) you are returning and the return document into an appropriate shipping container and attach your return label. Make sure that there are no other tracking labels attached to your package
  8. Take your package to any FedEx location near you. To find your closest FedEx location visit www.fedex.com/locate. Or you can arrange for FedEx to pick up your package by calling them on (800) 463-3339
  9. Once we receive and process your return, you should see your Credit or Gift Card within 2 weeks (banking institution times vary)

  11. End of Season Sale starts July 24, 2015, and ends August 7, 2015. While supplies last. Not applicable to Warranty Claims. Offer valid on select items on Marmot.com and in the Marmot San Francisco, Greenwich, Vail and Aspen stores. Sale Price Adjustments – purchases made before or after the sale dates listed will not be eligible for price adjustments.

Please note: Returns for a Refund received after 60 days from the original purchase but within 90 days of the original purchase date will automatically receive a Marmot gift card.
