Marmot’s world-class team of rock climbers and boulderers are fanatical stone-masters that live for on-sighting their next route, sending another high-ball or freeing a new line way off the deck. They move over granite, sandstone, limestone—whatever medium that denotes rock—and push the limits of bouldering, sport and traditional climbing.
- Paige Claassen is a 21 year old sport climber from Estes Park, Colorado. She joined the Marmot team in 2009, and hasn’t been cold since. When not working on her marketing degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder, she clips bolts on long, crimpy, technical routes throughout the world.
- Kevin Jorgeson began climbing at the age of 14 in Santa Rosa, CA. Since then, Kevin has developed into a world-class climber specializing in highball bouldering and big wall free climbing. Jorgeson is best known for first ascents of Bishop highballs such as Ambrosia, The Beautiful and Damned, and Footprints. Most recently, Jorgeson is working on the first ascent of the Dawn Wall on El Capitan with Tommy Caldwell. With 7 pitches of 5.14 to 5.14+, it represents a huge leap forward for the standards of big wall free climbing.
- For the last decade, Colorado native Abbey Smith has taken her passion for adventure, writing and exploratory bouldering to the upper echelon, near and abroad -- inspiring other climbers of her generation.
